We are seeking an energetic, skilled, and passionate Cryptography Engineer to join our team at Vouch.io. In this role, you will work closely with our design and engineering teams to create cryptography components for the Vouch.io product line. Using Clojure, ClojureScript, Java, and other technologies. Candidates should also be enthusiastic about functional programming, as this is our primary stack.

Experience & Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cryptographic protocols and algorithms to achieve privacy and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and security experts, to integrate cryptographic solutions into our products and services.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in relevant cryptographic techniques.
  • Develop and optimize efficient implementations of cryptographic systems, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Analyze and evaluate the security properties of cryptographic systems, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Create clear and comprehensive documentation to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of cryptographic solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on cryptographic best practices and the implementation of cryptographic technology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Cryptography, or a related field.
  • Strong background in cryptography.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing cryptographic systems or protocols.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Rust, or Go.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technology, distributed systems, and their associated security challenges.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex concepts.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
